Welcome to my online gallery. The main body of my work is the flora, fauna, landscape and people of Sabah, Malaysia (the northern third of the island of Borneo) painted in a detailed realistic manner. I have known the country for  over 30 years. It has a spectacular range of landscape and habitat ranging from high mountain cloud rainforests, lowland jungle, rolling grasslands, thick mangroves and quiet idyllic beaches. Its wildlife is exotic and varied – from pygmy elephants and elusive leopards to dozens  of  species of tropical birds. The people are just as varied, some 5/6 major indigenous native populations, Malays, Indians, Chinese and Eurasians. 

Also in my galleries are other wildlife and landscape studies, figurative and portrait work and astronomical paintings (these are a bit of a “hobby” - you start with a blank canvas and your imagination only).
